So my story still goes on concerning my adventure on the highway and the circumstances I found myself in until external force of disappointment jolted me back to reality.
While I relished the experience of my first adventure and I pitied myself for having been so incapacitated for so long, it didnt end there! Other opportunities came in quick succession, here is the story. . .
My Story Part 2
The trip back to my destination on the first ever trip was quite eventful as it was an evening trip on a public holiday with ample traffic and some part of the road being “face-me-I-face-you” lane. It was quite an experience to be in traffic for almost four hours in the dark, full lights all over and a heavy traffic jam! That was some stretching of muscles.
As if that was not enough, another chance came in quick succession. On this fateful day, I had packed my boxes and my entire crew in readiness to get to the motor park for another trip. The whole load of my domestic crew was quite significant and my mind went calculating on the comparison of financial implication of outsourcing and insourcing. And then my older daughter reminded me of my last driving adventure and challenged me to do same! I pondered for a few minutes, then some consultation and then self-talk and off I was on the round 2 adventure. This time around, journey started smooth for a 140Km trip until we got half-way and we hit a heavy traffic jam and just all of a sudden, nature decided to put me to test with a very heavy rainfall! The combination of traffic jam with heavy downpour of rain is definitely not a mince meat but guess what I needed it! After five hours, trip was done and dusted. Since then, I have been to couple of cities with opportunities just presenting itself and I find myself in the loop. The real truth is I do not intend to drive for Africa or for any award, but I just do not want the limitation of not been able to do what I need to do. I am falling in love with the idea of been free to be and to become!
Sure there are still areas requiring this same adventure drive, we shall one at a time!
Moral of the story
● The success on one action, adventure, assignment or project boosts confidence for yet another! What you overcome become your stepping stone.
● The challenges we face in overcoming our fear all form part of the story of victory and usually build strength.
● Fear is not just an emotion, its a force: It is like a rock that has to be chipped off with every ounce of energy and opportunity until its all done. When you dont seem to have it easy, always remember that fear has to face fire to be overcome totally.
● Freedom is being able to do what you need to do at the time you need to do it without hindrance.
